Year R Visit Reculver

Year R had a fantastic time on their first ever school trip yesterday! They were so sensible on the coach and they listened beautifully to Anna Outdoors as she explained lots of new information and instructions.

The children got the chance to go hunting in the rock pools! Using their nets, buckets, hands and tickle sticks (paintbrushes) they carefully explored the creatures and carried them back to base to learn more about them.

They found lots of crabs (one rather large cheeky one tried to run away) sea worms, shrimps, anemones and more! They learnt how to identify male and female crabs, how to dig for sea worms, all about tide times and so much more!

We all enjoyed a picnic lunch, followed by a play in the park. The children behaved brilliantly and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Thank you to all our parent helpers and to Anna for a wonderful day.
