Welcome to Miers Court Primary School. We have much to be proud of at our school and the website offers just a tiny glimpse of life at our school.
We are a happy two form entry Primary and are proud of our reputation as a friendly and caring place where our children are encouraged to be the very best they can in all aspects of school life. Our children have a strong voice here; from our School Council to our House Captains, pupil leadership is highly valued and there are lots of opportunities for children to contribute to our school community.

Year 5 visited Spice Fusion to find out about Indian food and customs. The visit was made to support our learning on India and it was an opportunity to sample some Indian dishes and find out about the ingredients - particularly the spices. A huge 'thank you' to Rajeev and his team for welcoming us to the restaurant – it was a fun and informative afternoon! Now I know how many spices Indians put in their food ... and they eat with their hands. Tom Spice Fusion use over 400 spices. They put 80 different spices in their masala sauce! Maddie It takes over two hours to make the masala curry sauce – that's the longest of all the curries. Lola At Spice Fusion, I learnt that Indians eat with their hands, especially the right hand. Molly We had chicken masala, rice and an onion bhaji on the side of the plate. We had to it with our fingers like they do in India. Flora. The restaurant smelt delicious and the food was really tasty. Esme The owner told us about a bit about Indian culture. Did you know, over 100 languages are spoken in India? Zac
The school was very festive today with all the Christmas jumpers, carols being sung and present sale room being visited by many!
Christmas jumper day!
On Tuesday the choir visited Platters Farm Care Home to spread some festive cheer. They sang their carols beautifully and the residents had a great time. Afterwards, there was a chance to speak with the residents and have a dance. We were so proud of how the children interacted with them with smiles on their faces. We look forward to visiting again.
We are holding a number of limited capacity School Tours over the next few months, for anyone who may be considering Miers Court for their child in September 2026. These tours are an opportunity to see the school in action, and speak to our Principal or a member of the Senior Leadership team, as well as getting an opportunity to speak to pupils. Each tour is limited to a maximum of 8 families and booking must be made in advance by contacting the school office.
